New Launches for Veganuary 2021

We are that time of the year again, Veganuary. The time when supermarkets and restaurants are booming with new vegan food products.

My only annoyance is when they introduce a product in January and it slowly withdraws from the shelves. If you have decided to take the Veganuary 31-day challenge, then good luck. It has now been easier than ever to become vegan. Even eating out has become less of a challenge.

Obviously, there will be more and more products introduced within with month and will keep you updated. My problem comes with testing them as a large percentage are not also gluten-free. If you have tried any of these products and you want to leave a comment then please leave one below. It is good for others to see the good and the bad.

Tesco’s Wicked Kitchen New mayonnaise £1.40 each

Gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian

New from the Wicked range from Tesco’s are this new range of mayonnaises. I am looking forward to trying these, especially the caramelised onion one. There is not a lot of the Wicked range I can have because I am coeliac but these I can try. Once opened they need to be stored in the fridge and used within 4 weeks.

The 3 flavours are Garlic with caramelised onion, Piri piri and Bac-No-Naise.

Swedish Glace Heavenly chocolate Ice Cream £2.40 for 750ml

Vegan, Vegetarian, Dairy-free, Gluten-free and Nut-free Tesco

This is my all time favourite brand of ice cream. The vanilla one was one of the first vegan ice creams. I adore the vanilla and I am so looking forward to trying the chocolate. If it is anything like the other flavours, then I am in for a treat. There is usually always a tub of Swedish Glace in my freezer.

Vegan Magnum sea salt and caramel ice creams £3.69 for 3

Vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian and nut-free

Be still my beating heart, one of my favourite flavours for the vegan version of Magnum to release. Thick dairy-free chocolate which cracks so lovingly in your mouth. Delicious vanilla ice cream with a caramel swirl. One of the sexiest vegan ice creams around. Some say they are too pricy but if you bought one from a van or a shop they are nearly £2.00 each.

Collective Plant Yogurts £2.20 for a 400g pot and £1.25 for 135g

Vegan, Dairy-free, Egg, Some gluten-free

This is the first time The Collective have released a plant bases yoghurt. They come in fudge, passion fruit, raspberry and fudge. The breakfast yoghurts containing oats are not gluten-free.

CraKd The NO Egg Egg £3.99 490ml available from Marks & Spencer and http://www.thevegankind.com

Vegan, Gluten-free

I have wanted to use the product Just egg for vegans for a long time but as yet it has not appeared in the UK. Now we an alternative product we can use. An alternative to tofu for scrambled egg. It is made from pea protein and high in vitamin B12. It can be used in baking too instead of using aquafaba. Ordered one for me and cannot wait to try it.

New Nomo smooth hazelnut Bar 38g 90p

vegan, gluten-free, egg-free

If you are a great lover as I am, you will be pleased to hear that in partnership with Sainsbury’s they have launched their new smooth hazelnut flavour. Due to be launched in their stores from the 3rd of January.

New ideas at Aldi for 2021

Aldi supermarket has vowed to take a big leap forward in their vegan range for Veganuary 2021. I am hoping there will be a few in there that are gluten-free. For myself, I cannot do a full shop there because of being a coeliac. Some of the new items are a selection of ready meals, ice creams, and store cupboard products.

Higgidy Vegan Quiches £318 for 380g

Vegan, vegetarian, Nut-free

Not gluten-free, which is a shame. Higgidy has introduced two quiches to their vegan range, the vegan porcini mushroom and spinach and the spinach and tomato one. Made with a creamy oat and coconut filling and a seeded spelt pastry crust.

Mars Bounty and Topic vegan £3.00 100g chocolate bars

Vegan, Vegetarian, Bounty gluten-free

Just like the vegan Galaxy bars, Mars has introduced these 2 lovely iconic bars the Topic and Bounty. Between now and the end of January they will be appearing in our supermarkets. I love Bounty so am that that one is gluten-free. The Bounty will be studded with coconut producing a melt in the mouth bar. Both are registered with the vegan trademark

Well, that’s a few new items ready for January. I look forward to providing you with another year of vegan and gluten-free recipes and more of my new venture, the videos.
